My interest field can be best summarized as an exploration of light-matter interaction at the nanoscale. The main research focus areas are the development of: photonic structures that confine light and artificially engineered optical materials such as metamaterials, optical micro-cavities and hybrid excitonic materials that display optical properties that surpass naturally occurring materials. These focus areas are motivated by the quest to develop next-generation computing technologies including those that exploit the quantum property of light, ultrasensitive sensors for chemical and biological detection, and high-efficiency energy transfer systems.

I build a Bose-Einstein condensation and nonlinear optics of exciton and polariton systems research group in the State Key Laboratory of Precision Spectroscopy at East China Normal University. Our experimental group uses a wide array of optical methods to study fundamental questions of quantum mechanics in semiconductor systems.
Postdoc Fellow • Advisor: Prof. David Snoke • Nov 2017 - Oct 2020
As a postdoc, I'm working under the supervision of Prof. David Snoke to perform electronic and optical measurements. Also, I have been a team leader mentoring three graduate students and one undergraduate student.
